The notion of electric bikes dominating the bicycle industry seemed like a far-fetched idea back then. That’s about to change though with the release of the new Faraday Porteur Bike. Originally conceptualized by IDEO Designers and frame-builder Rock Lobster, the bike takes away the bulky appearance that most electric bikes are known for. Instead, it’s able to capture the classic look of Schwinn bikes, giving it a contemporary look any cycling enthusiast would love to show off. The Faraday Porteur is powered by a lithium-ion battery which can be easily activated just by flicking the switch found on the bike’s handlebar. This makes it easy for you to bike uphill since the battery will provide you with the power to back up your pedaling efforts. To complete the package, the Faraday Porteur comes with automatic front and tail LED lights, stitched leather details, and removable rack.
